week 3 blogger... a time they did not think I could do it, I did not think I could either! But, I just did it
There was a time not too long ago when I decided to take an EMT class so I could get a new position and a raise at work. I thought it would be easy at first, but I quickly learned how tough it was to balance everything. I was working full-time, going to EMT school, and taking regular college classes all at once. Most days, I was running on barely any sleep and had no time to hang out with friends or relax.
There were moments when I wanted to give up because the workload felt impossible. Studying for exams, practicing hands-on skills, and finishing college assignments all in the same week pushed me to my limits. But I kept reminding myself why I started — to move forward in my career and prove to myself that I could handle it.
In the end, all the long nights and early mornings paid off. I passed all my classes with an A and even passed my National Registry of EMT test on the first try. I got the new position at work and will be starting on July 18. Beating the odds taught me that with determination and hard work, you really can achieve anything you set your mind to.
